After I graduated from college and went back to China, I reunited with my childhood best friend. Her mom asked: “Lyuying, I remember you used to be good at writing. Are you still doing it?” Something hit me — Why did I stop taking writing seriously ever since I picked up drawing as a career? I have been journaling for years, writing little essays here and there about my life experiences and my thoughts on the world around me. But I was always too shy of sharing them. Reminded of my passion for writing, I decided to reorganize some thoughts I jotted down over the years — from my phone’s note app, my journal, my Google Docs, my conversations with friends — and share them as blogs. All cover art by myself.
